Name: Emma Peers
Business Name: Studio Peers
Where are you from?: Queenstown
What do you sell at the market?: Handcrafted Jewellery and Prints of my Illustrations.
Where have you come from? All the way from Bonnie Scotland.
Why did you choose to work in the medium you do?: My background is in Illustration and my main love is colour. Using clay to make my jewellery allows me to mix colours in a way you cannot do using pre-made beads. I work as a freelance designer for the rest of the week so this is a great opportunity for me to create my own briefs and create things I love and hopefully other people will as well.
What do you love about the market?: Definitely the people. I love meeting new people and also like knowing where my art will end up.
Who is your biggest inspiration?: People that follow their dreams and take risks are my biggest inspiration. I take inspiration from the people I meet and try to learn something new and positive from every experience.
What's the one thing you can't live without?: Red wine....white wine....any kind of wine really. And my Wacom drawing tablet! (geek)
What has been your biggest adventure?: Travelling round the world on my own has been a great adventure although I still have plenty more to see. Also starting my own business has been a fantastic experience and will be a continuous journey.
